Angela Chao’s Late Mother’s Biography Published in Beijing
Angela Chao accompanied her father, Dr. James S.C. Chao, to Beijing in late October for the release of the biography of her late beloved mother, Mrs. Ruth Mulan Chu Chao. The book details the story of how the couple immigrated to America, founded Foremost Group, and raised six successful daughters.
Angela spoke about her parents’ emphasis on the importance of education, which is a value that her father also said he had been instilled with from his parents in addition to other lessons that would help him become successful. He added that Chinese philosophy also played a significant role in his success, particularly the value of not taking advantage of others, rather sharing the benefits for everyone’s gain.
