On Tuesday, May 1, SUNY Maritime College held its 15th annual Admiral’s Scholarship Dinner, which honors industry executives and raises funds to help the next generation of maritime leaders. This year’s dinner honored leaders from both Turner Construction Group, an international construction services company, as well as Foremost Group, an internationally recognized shipping company. The three honorees at the dinner were Dr. James S.C. Chao, founder and honorary chairman of Foremost Group, his daughter, Angela Chao, the current Chair and CEO of Foremost Group – the first father-daughter team to be recognized with this honor – as well as Joseph Byrne ’89, vice president and senior operations manager of Turner Construction.
