In June 2016, Angela Chao was appointed as independent director of the Bank of China. The election took place on November 18th, 2016 during the China Bank’s First Extraordinary General Meeting, and the appointment was approved by the China Banking Regulatory Commission.
As a Director, Ms. Chao will also serve as a member of the Bank of China’s Audit and Risk Policy Committees as well as the Connected Transactions Control Committee. She will serve in this prestigious post until 2019. Chao is Deputy Chairperson of Foremost Group, a Harvard Business School graduate and a veteran businesswoman, public speaker and philanthropist.
