Third Member in the Chao Family to be Awarded the Honorary Doctorate Degree

On September 23rd, 2016, National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) conferred their Honorary Doctoral Degree to Ms. Angela Chao, Deputy Chair of Foremost Group, daughter of Dr. James S.C. Chao, a business leader and founder of Foremost Group as well as a Chiao-Tung alumnus. Ms. Angela Chao is the third member in her family to receive an honorary doctoral degree from NCTU. President Chang of NCTU expressed in his remarks that Ms. Chao is the combination of wisdom and intellect exemplified by the way she has been running Foremost Group with “Sincerity” and “Integrity”, and that the way she spreads the philosophy and values of eastern culture to the western world through social service and management of the company is a great and important example of the fusion of different cultures.
